How Jet by the Seat works
We help you fly private either by the seat or with the whole cabin, and we show the numbers both ways. Here's what we do and what to expect.
What we do
Jet by the Seat is an air charter broker. When you tell us your route, date and how many seats you need, we look for two things: per-seat options, such as shared or semi-private flights and seats on repositioning flights, and whole aircraft from certificated operators that can fly the trip on your schedule.
You get both in one reply, with the total for each aircraft and what it comes to per person, all-in. We don't own or operate aircraft, so our only job is to find the options that fit.
Seats when they exist, cabins when they don't
Per-seat options are real but limited: they run on certain routes and dates, and they can sell out or change. We'll never list seats that aren't available or promise a shared flight before it's confirmed. When none fits, the whole cabin split across your group is often closer in price than people expect.
Standards
Every flight we arrange is operated by a direct air carrier certificated under FAA Part 135, or the foreign equivalent, which holds operational control of the aircraft. We check an operator's certificate and safety audit status, such as ARGUS, Wyvern or IS-BAO, before it appears in your options, and we name the operator in every quote.
What to expect
- Request. Route, date, seats and any flexibility. No account or deposit.
- Options. An advisor emails per-seat options where available and whole-cabin quotes with each person's share.
- Booking. Confirm seats, or sign the charter agreement with the operating carrier's details and pay as it sets out.
- Flight day. You receive the terminal, timings and anything else you need, and your advisor is a message away until you touch down.
One-way, round-trip and multi-city trips are all possible, domestically and worldwide.
