Questions and answers

Seats, shares, shared flights and the details of chartering a whole cabin. If something isn't covered, ask in the notes of a quote request.

Can I really buy a single seat on a private jet?

Sometimes. Shared charters, semi-private services and seats on repositioning flights are sold per seat on certain routes and dates. They don't exist for every trip, so we also quote the whole cabin and show what it costs per person.

How is the per-person price worked out?

We take the all-in price of the aircraft, with the federal excise tax and fees included, and divide it by the number of travellers. The result is what each person actually pays, with nothing added later.

Are shared flights operated to the same standard?

Every flight we arrange, shared or private, is operated by a direct air carrier under FAA Part 135 or the foreign equivalent. The operator is named before you book.

What if my group doesn't fill the aircraft?

You pay for the aircraft, not the seats, so empty seats raise each person's share. A smaller category often fixes that. If you're one or two people, a per-seat option, when one exists, is usually the better buy.

How much luggage can I bring?

On a whole-cabin charter, as much as the aircraft can carry safely, so list bags and anything bulky in your request. Per-seat services set their own allowances, usually tighter, and your advisor will tell you what applies.

Can my dog fly with me?

Usually, yes. On a whole-cabin charter most operators will approve a calm dog or cat travelling in the cabin with you. Shared flights write their own pet rules, so flag it when you ask.

Do I need a membership or a deposit?

No. Asking for a quote is free and carries no obligation. You pay only once you choose an option and sign the charter agreement or confirm your seats.

What's the difference between a shared flight and a private charter?

On a shared flight you buy individual seats on a departure the operator has set. On a private charter you hire the whole aircraft for your group and set the schedule. Both are operated by certificated carriers.

Can I sell the spare seats on my charter?

Generally no. You can invite whoever you like and split the cost within your group, but selling seats to the public requires the flight to be run under specific public charter rules by the operator. Ask your advisor if you're thinking about it.

Is the per-person price per leg or per trip?

The quote shows the total for the trip as requested, one-way, round trip or multi-city, and each traveller's share of that total.

What happens if a per-seat flight is cancelled?

Shared flights can move or be cancelled, and seats on repositioning flights depend on the original booking. The terms of the seat you buy apply, and your advisor will look for an alternative, such as a whole-cabin option, if you need to travel anyway.

Do you arrange international trips?

Yes, worldwide. International flights involve customs, passports for every traveller and foreign fees, which are explained and included in the quote where known.
